Winter Itch

 I have found that one of the common complaints this time of year is constant scratching. The bitter cold can be brutal on our dogs, as well as us!! But we can help. We have a few products that have shown great success in alleviating winters harsh realities. Hot Oil treatments soothe that irritated skin. Then following up with mild but effective shampoo that is coat specific and we can even use conditioner to help with static and fly aways! Flea Control

Unfortunately the warm weather and humidity create the perfect environment for fleas. The Lazy Dog can help with treating your pet but that is only half the battle. The treatment of your home and yard will help take control of the situation. If a clean pet is returned back into an environment that has not been treated then the fleas will only return to the pet for their next meal. In just 30 days, 10 female fleas under ideal conditions can multiply to over a quarter million different life stages.

Optimum temperatures for the flea's life cycle are 70°F to 85°F and optimum humidity is 70 percent.

Newly emerged adult fleas live only about one week if a blood meal is not obtained.

Breaking the cycle with an Insect Growth Regulator , not just killing the few adults is the secret to flea control.

Completely developed adult fleas can live for several months without eating,
as long as they do not emerge from their cacoons.
